Nice Devin project based on a Austin Healey BN1 with an MG Engine is for sale in USA

Here are a few pictures of the Devin as it is being restored, and one of it before the restoration process. The chassis was entirely media blasted to clean it up, and the body was nicely stripped and repainted. The wheels were also bead blasted and powder coated. Currently, the car is going to get all of the aluminum under panels templated and fabricated. It is a shame to cover the chassis, as it looks like a Tipo 61 Birdcage Maserati, but that is how the car originally was.

Unfortunately, I was redoing the MG engine when I found that all of the parts were from a very early, series 1 BN1 Austin Healey, so I stopped the project the look for a Healey engine. The car is now considerably more valuable, so I considered taking the body off and using the unused body for it, as it is now a welcomed car at any of the Vintage Races.

The brakes, suspension, rear axle, gauges, engine mounts, and steering wheel were all taken from an early BN1, which is actually different to a later BN Healey, so it might be easy to track it down. I unfortunately spent quite a bit of time and resources hunting down a Devin MGA, and did not find any history, so I will have to look all over again. The good thing about blasting the chassis was that it did uncover some pertinent chassis numbers and stampings.
